CubicFarms announces new FreshHub system for Lower Mainland

Modular vertical farm technology supplier, Cubic Farm Systems, has announced a new FreshHub system – the first of which will be installed in the Lower Mainland in B.C.

As Maple-Ridge Pitt Meadows News reports, the high-density system that will grow green, leafy produce using minimal space and water and supply produce to local retail and food service industries. Up to 96 growing modules will be inside each FreshHub grow room, scheduled to come online in 2022.

The company said it is planning to open up multiple FreshHub growing rooms that will be located close to cities and communities, that will provide fresh produce to stores and consumers within 16 kilometres of where it is grown. | READ MORE
