Echinacea
Cone-fections

Available in ‘Coconut Lime’ and ‘Pink Double Delight,’ the Cone-fection works great as a border and container plant or even as a cut flower. Transplant this variety in full sun and blooms will appear for eight to 12 weeks, beginning in mid-
summer. (Skagitt Gardens)
  Achillea
‘Apricot Delight’

Apricot Delight is part of the Tutti Frutti series, which is known for its sturdy, compact growth habit, long bloom period and interesting flowers. When grown in full sun, the hues are intensified and the plant works best in zones 4-8. The plant is USPPAF and is from Blooms of Bressingham. (Valleybrook Gardens)

Sedum ‘Picolette’
This bareroot variety grows best in zones 3-9, flowers from August to October and will reach a height of 15-20 inches. The pinkish flowers combine with darker foliage for a dramatic look that makes the Picolette an excellent container plant. (Vanhof & Blokker)
  Iris ensata
‘Ruffled Dimitry’

This large, lavender purple flower features darker violet venation and an intense purple, combined with traditional yellow signals, can be found in the heart of the flower. It grows best in zones 4-9, flowers from June to July and reaches a height of 30-35 inches. (Vanhof & Blokker)

Portulaca
‘Pastel Sundial’

This pastel mix of blooms in chiffon pink, peach, sunny yellow and ivory is perfect for hot, sunny locations, hanging pots, walkways or to cover bear spots in the landscape. Portulaca is one of the most drought-tolerant annuals and will reach six inches in height and spreads. The cup-shaped flowers bloom abundantly like little open-centred roses. (Renee’s Garden)
  Polar Bear Zinnia
These lovely old-fashioned “dahlia-flowering” zinnias are pure white and are a perfect accent in the garden. The full double, four-inch flowers are borne on long-stemmed 3.5- to four-foot multi-branching plants that are excellent for cutting armfuls of blooms all summer long. (Renee’s Garden)
