The Sawaya Garden Trials are back. Featuring over 3750 different varieties, organizer Mel Sawaya says there will be brand new varieties shown, along with tried-and-tested ones that growers may not have seen yet.

The open house will be held on July 24, 2019 from 8am to 5pm in Simcoe, Ont. Sawaya expects over 300 horticultural producers, breeders, buyers, wholesalers and marketers to attend from across North America. “They are looking for leading-edge plants to watch and leading-edge plants to avoid.”

Set in a casual atmosphere, attendees can have a look at new varieties for their 2020 production program in addition to connecting with industry colleagues and meeting both existing and potential suppliers over lunch. “More importantly, share your experience with others so we can learn and grow as an industry,” says Sawaya.

Proceeds from the plants sold will be donated to Norfolk General Hospital in Simcoe, Ontario.
