July 23, 2014, Simcoe, Ont. — What’s probably the world’s largest container gardening trials is having an open house today.


The Sawaya Garden Trials are being held through to 4 p.m. at the gardens site at 5113 Hwy. 3, between Simcoe and Jarvis.

This is the 14th year for the trials, which always attract a steady stream of visitors. Included are breeders, growers, retailers, landscapers and gardeners. Lunch will be provided and the site includes plenty of free parking.

Some 2,200 cultivars are included this year.
