Oct. 9, 2012, Niagara Falls — It was another very successful year for the Canadian Greenhouse Conference, the second in its new home in the Scotiabank Convention Centre.
Most seminar rooms were full in each of the two days, the pre-conference bus tour was sold out, and the trade show was wall-to-wall with innovations, new varieties and services.
Anna Ball of Ball Horticultural Company delivered the keynote address, discussing Trends In The Industry.
This year's Volunteer Appreciation award was presented to Sandy Carlton (Plant Products), a longtime CGC trade fair committee member. Making the presentation was committee colleague Allan vanStaalduinen (Ball).
Six exhibitors were honoured for their creative work, earning Best Booth awards.
