CFIB sets date for Small Business Saturday

June 12, 2012, Toronto — Mark your calendars – Canada's Small Business Saturday is scheduled for Oct. 20.

The event, which is organized by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB), encourages Canadians to support small businesses in their local communities.

"This is an opportunity for independent businesses to offer special promotions to their customers (be it consumers or other businesses)," the CFIB said on its website.
