Red – It’s an
emotionally intense colour that creates a feeling of power or
excitement. When used in small doses, red is a perfect selling colour
that inspires people to eat and shop more. Too much red can create
anger or hostility.
Yellow – Yellows grabs the attention of shoppers and it is the
first colour recognized by the eye. This colour encourages shoppers to
stop and take a look and lets customers know the product is friendly
and affordable. As with red, an excess of yellow can strain the eyes
and cause tension or irritability.
Blue – This hue is the most popular favourite colour in the
world. It’s calming colour that illustrates trust and communications.
Dark shades of blue represent authority, wealth or power while light
shades makes a small space look bigger and encourage imagination.
Green – This colour is a popular environmental word these days
and it creates a feeling of freshness, healing, relaxation and
cleanliness. It connects perfectly with nature. Lime green grabs
people’s attention and represents affordability, while deep green
symbolizes money, wealth and quality.
Brown – Like green, the colour brown is associated with
natural, earthy and grounded feelings. It’s a reliable colour and a
favourite hue for men.
Purple – Purple is connected to feelings of spirituality and a
higher power and some research shows people may refrain from stealing
in a purple setting. This hue is a perfect complement colour for garden
and nature products.
Pink – This warm and fuzzy colour helps lower blood pressure
and creates feelings of well-being. It’s a healing colour that helps
magnify taste and smell. Hot pink is a trendy colour with younger
