The Home Depot announces management changes

Atlanta (PRNewswire) – The Home Depot recently announced the resignations of Frank Fernandez, executive vice president, secretary and general counsel, and Dennis Donovan, executive vice-president, Human Resources, effective February 14.

“We thank both Frank and Dennis for their commitment to the Company during their tenure here, and we are grateful for their service to The Home Depot. We wish them well in the future,” said Frank Blake, The Home Depot’s chairman and CEO.


Concurrent with this announcement, The Home Depot has promoted Tim Crow, most recently senior vice-president, Talent, Organization and Performance Systems, to executive vice-president, Human Resources, where he will oversee all human resources activity for the organization. In addition, Jim Snyder, vice-president, litigation and risk management, was named interim head of the company’s legal department.

Crow joined The Home Depot in May 2002 as vice-president, performance systems. In 2005, he was promoted to his previous role as senior vice-president. Prior to joining The Home Depot, Crow spent 24 years in various retail management positions within finance, accounting and human resources for Sears, Roebuck & Co., and then Kmart.

Snyder came to The Home Depot in July 2001 as corporate counsel from a law firm in Atlanta, where he was a partner and spent 12 years practising law, particularly focused on commercial litigation. He was promoted to vice-president in 2004, and in 2006, his responsibilities were expanded to include risk management.
