June 17, 2008, Columbus, OH — OFA, an Association of Floriculture Professionals will host its annual OFA Short Course from July 12-15, in Columbus, Ohio. Some 130 educational sessions have been scheduled.

June 16, 2008, Vineland, Ont. — Flowers Canada Ontario is helping host a pair of timely employment programs on Monday, June 23. The sessions will be held in Rittenhouse Hall at the Vineland Resource Centre, near St. Catharines. The sessions are open to ornamental and vegetable growers.

During my dozen or so years with the magazine, the federal statistical agency has every year pointed to significant growth by this sector.
