BioWorks Molt-X now available in gallon sizes

April 27, 2015  By Dave Harrison

April 27, 2015 – BioWorks, Inc., committed to creating a safer environment, is now offering its Molt-X® botanical insecticide in one-gallon sizes. In addition to the one-pint and one-quart containers, the new one-gallon option offers commercial growers a more convenient option for their higher volume needs.

“We listened and responded to our customers.” said Joe Gionta, director of marketing and sales.

“Our customers experienced success with Molt-X and have expanded its use. We decided to offer a larger, more economical size to help them achieve better efficiencies and lower their cost-in-use – which we know is important to commercial growers.”

Molt-X is a botanical insecticide containing three per cent of the active ingredient azadirachtin – the most potent of the insect active compounds from the neem tree.

It works primarily as an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) that disrupts the molting process in insects. It also acts as an insect repellent, anti-feedant, and ovipositional deterrent. These multiple modes of action make it a highly effective tool for use in resistance management programs.

It’s used on a broad range of turfgrass, outdoor shrubs, trees and ornamentals. Also for a broad range of ornamental greenhouse, shadehouse, vegetables, interiorscape and nursery use; and for a broad range of outdoor food crops.

• Leaves no residue.

• Low odour.

• Four-hour REI and 0-day PHI.

• OMRI listed.

Molt-X also works great in combination with BioWorks’ BotaniGard® and SuffOil-X®.
