Feb. 5, 2013 — Biobest has added Nick Steeghs and Herman Van Mellaert to its management team.
Steeghs joins the company as director of operations for Asia and North America. He was formerly plant manager at the Syngenta Bioline bumblebee factory.
Van Mellaert joins the company as director of business development. He has extensive expertise in the creation and growth of several life science and biotechnology companies.
Steeghs will work with director of operations Jan Vermeulen to help the company cope with the challenges associated with a rapid increase in the number and size of production sites across the globe. The company is striving to serve markets with locally adapted species for pollination and biological control.
Group marketing, customer service, and training and knowledge will report to Van Mellaert.
Richard Ward is sales director for North and South America.
Biobest is a leader in pollination and biological pest control for protected crops and open field crops.
