Best booths, promotions honoured at Expo

Oct. 18, 2012, Toronto – Winners of the Best Booth and Best Promotion
awards were announced at Expo 2012, running at the Toronto Congress
Centre today until 4 p.m.

Oct. 18, 2012, Toronto – Winners of the Best Booth and Best Promotion awards were announced at Expo 2012, running at the Toronto Congress Centre today until 4 p.m.

The exhibitors winning the Best Booth Award, under 200 sq. ft., was Hillen Nursery of Mt. Brydges, Ont., while Maple Leaf Nurseries, Jordon Station, Ont., took the Best Booth Award, over 200 sq. ft.

“One of the most compelling features of EXPO is the creativity and imagination that goes into the displays and booths that line the aisles,” says Heather MacRae, director of events and trade shows for Landscape Ontario. “Our judges always have a tough decision but found engaged staff along with a clever interplay of product and graphics in the compact, 100-sq. ft. display presented by Hillen Nursery.

Landscape Ontario also recognized Canadale Nurseries Limited for its marketing efforts to attract delegate to pre-register for EXPO 2012. Canadale conducted an aggressive promotional campaign that included a chance to win an iPad for placing an order while at EXPO.

“Canadale embraced our new customize electronic VIP passes and added an additional incentive to their clients for both attending EXPO and placing an order at Expo,” says MacRae. “This is a proactive marketing approach from a company that is a great supporter our event.”
