Aug. 2, 2010, West Chicago, IL – For more than 100 years, Ball Horticultural
Company has supported local retail businesses. Every year, Ball is excited to
bring innovative products and programs to market, while improving existing
lines. Now Ball combines these two values in a new, retail-friendly catalogue
Flourish! is a collection of some of the company’s best plants and
brands, and is carefully organized to help garden centres maximize their
potential. Products were thoughtfully selected for and chosen to inspire
retailers as they help home gardeners take their gardens to the next level.
“Flourish! includes a broad selection of garden favourites and hot
new plants as well,” says Bill Calkins, Ball’s business manager for Independent
Garden Centers. “It’s also filled with creative ways to encourage shoppers to
put more plants in their carts each time they visit retail garden centres.”
In this new format, designed the way retailers think about plants,
Flourish! offers products for end cap programs, special promotions, early-
and late-season series for extended sales, plants for water-wise landscapes,
fun additions to the shade department, new ways to think about traditional
varieties, and much more.
“With Flourish!, we will continue to help and support
retail garden centres and their efforts to create excitement in the world of
flowers,” says Calkins.
