Feb. 12, 2013, Simcoe, Ont. — Just an early heads-up that our next Greenhouse Canada issue will offer a little more than our usual editions.

• For starters, it is a combined March/April publication, to allow for more timely early season features and growing ideas.

• In addition, it will include our first of two special Garden Centre sections, with expanded circulation to more retailers across Canada. (The second Garden Centre section will be published within our August edition.)

Scheduled March/April topics will include a grower profile; results of our “state of the industry” garden centre survey; a biocontrol story with deep roots at the Greenhouse and Processing Crops Research Centre in Harrow, Ont.; merchandising ideas; a look at robotics/automation research; rootzone management strategies for improved energy efficiency; extending the tomato season; and the importance of pH and EC monitoring; and much, much more.
