Windset big May booster of B.C. Children’s Hospital

May 4, 2015  By Dave Harrison

May 4, 2015, Vancouver – Windset Farms® is once again supporting children in the province with its sponsorship of two of B.C. Children’s Hospital’s major events – the Miracle Weekend telethon and ChildRun – on May 30 and 31.

Windset Farms will also contribute a portion of proceeds from specially marked products sold in May.

Last year, the family-run farm sponsored a Miracle Hour during the telethon and their team raised additional funds as members of the Miracle Maker Panel. Funds raised at these events are used to support and enhance pediatric care in B.C.

In addition to the event sponsorship, Windset Farms is donating 10 per cent of net proceeds from the sale of specially marked packages of Concerto® Grape Tomatoes and Fresco® Mini Cucumbers sold in British Columbia.

For the family-run company, B.C. Children’s Hospital is a great fit.

“We love how events such as Miracle Weekend and ChildRun promote a healthy lifestyle, while bringing the community together,” says John Newell, Chief Operating Officer of Windset Farms.

“Giving back to the community is something our whole company feels strongly about and we want to thank everyone for their support,” he adds.

Specially marked packages can be found in retail stores throughout British Columbia for the month of May. Look out for the B.C. Children’s Hospital blue and orange stickers!

ABOUT B.C. CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
