The greenhouse sector has been among the most active sectors in accessing GF2 funding, according to Barb Caswell, GF2 coordinator with the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association.

Caswell was the presenter at our March 2 webinar and knows the program inside and out.

This federal-provincial-territorial initiative has helped many farmers across Canada grow their operations, including many greenhouse producers. While the program is national in scope, program delivery is slightly different across the provinces.

In Ontario, the program is delivered to farmers by the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association.

Click here to read how Growing Forward 2 assisted one Ontario grower. “We started with GF2 to assist with, first, understanding our business’s financial position and then gaining an in-depth understanding of the cost of production. This, in turn, steers analysis of what products and processes need improvement to achieve higher margins.”
