Mackinac Island.
Sept. 30, 2013, Mackinac Island, MI — Earlier this month, over 550 gardening consumers joined Proven Winners® for its Grand Garden Show on Mackinac Island.
During the three-day event, attendees were able to tour eleven private, never before seen gardens, enjoy cocktails and dinner at the Grand Hotel, and learn about a wide variety of gardening topics from many presenters, including P. Allen Smith.
“The first annual Grand Garden Show was even better than we could have anticipated,” said Grand Hotel president Dan Musser III.
“The seminars and the displays provided by Proven Winners were outstanding and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in attendance. The vision for the event by island gardener Jack Barnwell made the weekend a success.”
The Grand Garden Show is an extension of the one-day events Proven Winners hosts throughout North America.
In spring of 2014, the Outdoor Living Extravaganzas will be held in Milwaukee, WI (Feb. 1); Minneapolis, MN (Feb. 8); and Grand Rapids, MI (March 8).
Plans for a 2014 Grand Garden Show are already underway.
“We were overwhelmed by the gracious response of the attendees and all who were involved, and it was wonderful to have many retailers also attend,” said Marshall Dirks, director of marketing and public relations for Proven Winners.
“We cannot be more thankful to have such a passionate and loyal fan base that loves flowers and gardening as much as we do. At each event, we learn as much as our audience does, as experiences are shared alike. We plan to make next year's event even greater.”
