Dec. 9, 2016, Miami, FL – Dominion Builders has launched its new division, DominionAG, which specializes in the planning, design and construction of agricultural growing facilities.
The new division will be led by director of operations Marc Finch and a team of executives with more than 40 years of experience in development and construction, along with expertise in building large-scale greenhouses and hydroponic farms.
“We are proud to launch this new division, which resulted from a demand within the emerging locally grown vegetable and cannabis industries,” said Mark Gemignani, president of Dominion Builders. “DominionAG will offer clients a complete design-build solution that will quickly translate concept to reality.”
There is a national surge in consumer demand for locally grown produce as well as medical marijuana, he noted.
Dominion’s latest project included BrightFarms’ Chicagoland Greenhouse, a 177,441-square-foot hydroponic farm, which is approximately 80 miles west of Chicago. The greenhouse produces approximately one million pounds of produce per year including baby greens and tomatoes.
