Berger expands with purchase of SRL

Jan. 5, 2017, St-Modeste, Que. – Once again, the extended Berger family is getting bigger. The company has acquired Specialties Robert Legault (SRL) effective Jan. 1 of this year.

This agreement reinforces the long-standing business relationship between the two companies. Until 2016, Specialties Robert Legault was the exclusive distributor of Berger products in Canada for more than 36 years.

“I am particularly proud of this transaction,” said Claudin Berger, co-president at Berger. “Robert Legault and I are longtime collaborators and we are both happy with the merging of this partnership.”

The SRL team is joining the Berger team and will be able to continue to meet its customers needs while benefiting from a direct access to a wide range of services offered by Berger.

For its part, Specialties Robert Legault is thanking its valued customers and reassuring them that the transition will be done in a seamless manner.

On Feb. 22, Berger and SRL will hold the 24th edition of its customer appreciation night. In addition to benefiting from technical grower talks, registrants will be able to celebrate the expansion news with company representatives.

The event will be held at the St. Catharines Holiday Inn Conference Centre in Ontario.
