A tour of Vineland Research and Innovation Centre

Sept. 6, 2016, Vineland Station, Ont. – JGS project manager Ken Langendoen walks us through the structural and advanced technological features of the newest greenhouse built for the Vineland Research & Innovation Centre.

This one-of-a-kind research greenhouse project was completed by JGS Limited, a sister company to GGS.

The venlo-style greenhouse features 40,000 square feet of horticultural research space with 13 containment compartments and two blackout compartments providing a tightly controlled environment allowing mitigation of weather, climate, pest and disease issues.

The Vineland Research and Innovation Centre is one of the largest facilities of its kind in North America designed to bring companies, industry and researchers together.

Amy Carter was born in Dover, England, and studied graphic design and advertising at Canterbury College and University of Greenwich before moving to Canada. She works in the marketing department at GGS Structures Inc.
