The key to more efficient employees: flowers!
Nov. 11, 2011, Guelph, Ont. – New research shows that idea generation, creative performance and problem-solving skills improve substantially in workplace environments that include flowers and plants.

pick_ont_clsupProductivity in the form of innovation and creative problem solving are improved by the addition of flowers and plants to the work environment. In today’s competitive business landscape, making a change as small as adding flowers can end up making your business better positioned to think outside the box and surpass the competition.

“With the abundance of Ontario greenhouse flower producers in the province, fresh long-lasting flowers should be easily accessible to businesses big and small,” said Dean Shoemaker, marketing director with pickOntario. “This research clearly shows the benefits to workers, and therefore employers, of having flowers and plants in the office and they can be sourced locally and without great expense.”

PickOntario is an innovative marketing communications campaign intended to raise awareness, interest and demand for Ontario-grown cut flowers and potted plants.

There are 650 greenhouse flower producers in Ontario, employing more than 10,000 people.
