'Mirror, mirror, on the wall...'
Written by Dave Harrison
Nov. 10, 2011, Vineland, Ont. — "... which poinsettia is the fairest of them all..."

Well, they all look great to us, but you can make your own mind up next month at the annual poinsettia evaluations open house at the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre (VRIC).

Some 115 cultivars, including 20 new red selections, are featured. The open house will be held Dec. 2 from 1 to 4:30.

Participating breeders include Dummen USA, Paul Ecke Ranch, Beekenkamp Plants, Selecta First Class, and Syngenta Flowers.

For more information, contact trials manager Wayne Brown, OMAFRA greenhouse floriculture specialist, at 905-562-4141, ext. 179.

The trials are hosted by OMAFRA and VRIC.
