Grower Day can help cut costs... and stress
Written by Dave Harrison
May 16, 2011, Brantford, Ont. — Looking to reduce costs and stress, and increase efficiency and sales? Look no further! Some of the answers will be highlighted next month (June 17) at the Greenhouse Canada Grower Day – Lean Greenhouse Management – at the Best Western Brant Park Inn Conference Centre in Brantford, Ont.

The centre is located just off Hwy. 403 at the Wayne Gretzky Parkway.

The day includes concurrent flower and vegetable tracks, a trade show of leading industry suppliers, great networking opportunities, and a hearty luncheon.

Topics include screening strategies (separate vegetable and ornamental sessions), effective automation, IPM (in both vegetable and ornamental sessions), energy conservation, perennials’ production, veg research updates and industry production trends, winning mixed container fillers, and the importance of micronutrients, among others.

Moderators are Melhem Sawaya of Focus Greenhouse Management, and Greenhouse Canada editor Dave Harrison.

Check the Grower Day link for more information.
