Creating ‘MindShare’ market opportunities
Written by Dave Harrison
April 15, 2011, Ithaca, NY — How can the industry cultivate more consumer interest in floriculture?

This year’s Seeley Conference (June 26-29 at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.) will tackle the theme, Floriculture’s Biggest Challenge: Creating MindShare Opportunities.

The conference will focus on ways that the floriculture industry can increase consumer recognition (MindShare).

Consumer attitudes and buying behavior – and what this means for our industry – will be discussed the opening day.

Day 2 of the conference will focus on how members of the industry are capturing consumer MindShare using a variety of ways: social media, community involvement, and reaching out to urban customers.

Day 3 will conclude with “in your face horticulture” and off the wall marketing ideas.
