The minor use project for greenhouse ornamentals was originally initiated in early 2000 by Victoria Brooks of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in B.C. as a result of minor use priorities established by growers and extension personnel in Canada. After many years of significant challenges and obstacles with this project, enduring support from the registrant and stakeholders, the minor use label expansion for Previcur N Aqueous Solution Fungicide is a significant step towards developing a more robust and sustainable pest management toolkit for these diseases in Canada.

The following is provided as a general outline only. Users should consult the complete label before using Previcur N Fungicide.

Previcur N Fungicide can be used for control of root rot caused by Pythium by applying a single application at potting time at 1.5 mL Previcur per litre of water at 100 mL of solution per 10 cm pot. Two repeat applications can be made 21 to 40 days apart if disease pressure warrants.

Previcur N Fungicide can be used for control of root rot caused by Phytophthora by mixing 1.5 mL Previcur per litre of water and using 4.9 L of mixed solution per square metre of surface area. Two repeat applications can be made 21 to 40 days apart if disease pressure warrants.

Previcur N Fungicide should be applied as a drench to the root zone of the plants in such a way that plant foliage does not get wet. Do not re-enter treated areas within 24 hours of application of soil direction applications.

Previcur N Fungicide should be used in an integrated pest management program and in rotation with other management strategies to adequately manage resistance. Follow all other precautions and directions for use on the Previcur N Fungicide label carefully.
