Jan. 6, 2010, Grimsby, Ont. – The fifth annual Greenhouse Growers Charity Hockey
Tournament, sponsored by Engage Agro, is looking for players and sponsors.
The tournament will be held Friday, Jan. 22, at the Grimsby
Community Centre (Peach King Centre at 162 Livingstone Ave.). The first game is
at 11:30 a.m., with competition continuing throughout the afternoon. Teams will
play a minimum of three games.
A banquet begins at 5 p.m. at the Casablanca Winery Inn (4
Windward Dr. in Grimsby).
The tournament has raised some $5,000 for the Niagara
Peninsula Children’s Centre over the years. Charitable donations are $50 for
spectators and $75 for players, and tax receipts are available.
