Golfing for Children's Wish Foundation
Written by Dave Harrison
bradford_golf_twoNov. 19, 2009, Bradford, Ont. – There was an extra special participant in this year’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament for the Children’s Wish Foundation hosted by Bradford Greenhouses Limited.

“This year we were blessed with the presence of Mackenzie, a Wisbradford_golf_oneh Foundation Child,” said a tournament spokesperson. “Mackenzie was diagnosed with leukemia when he was four years old. The 2-1/2 years of treatment was long, but he has been in remission for 2-1/2 years.”

bradford_golf_3Mackenzie celebrated his 10th birthday during the tournament “and the smile on his mom’s face said it all. During this year’s tournament, we were all part of the winning team.”

Lori, Mackenzie’s mom, explained that “the wishes keep coming” when they attend events such as this.

Tournament officials offered their thanks to everyone who has contributed in one way or another over the years. To date, the event has raised over $100,000.

“Mackenzie, keep up with the golfing. We hope to see you on the Pro tour soon.”childrens_wish
