Sept. 1, 2009, Santa Maria, CA — Plans
for a vast hydroponic farming facility — Santa Maria’s first — are moving
forward, according to a report in the Santa Maria Times. At an Aug. 4 meeting, a unanimous Santa Maria City Council approved
the environmental document for the large greenhouse and produce-packing facility
