July 16, 2009 — Registrations are now being accepted for the Eighth Annual SRL Charity Golf Tournament, being held Aug. 20 at the Niagara Royal Golf Club in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Tournament hosts are Specialties Robert Legault and Berger Peat Moss. In its first seven years, the event has raised some $85,000. This year’s designated charities include:
• Niagara Warehouse of Hope (www.warehouseofhope.com).
• The Foundation for Niagara and Hamilton area Christian Schools (www.foundationniagara.ca).
A barbecue lunch will be available at noon, with tee-off at 1 p.m. A full course dinner at 6:30 p.m. will follow. Awards and door prizes will be presented immediately following dinner.
The registration fee is $175 (includes GST of $8.34) per person. This includes green fees to a championship golf course, use of cart, dinner and a charitable donation.
