Niagara courts Dutch investment
Written by Niagara Economic Development Corporation
May 11, 2009 — Representatives from Niagara’s greenhouse industry recently travelled to the Netherlands to meet with Dutch government and Canadian Embassy officials in The Hague, and to network with industry leaders of the Dutch horticulture industry.

Al van den Ende, from the Niagara based company van den Ende – Americas, and Joe DeMan, representing the Niagara Industrial Association, were promoting Niagara as a gateway location for Dutch growers to address the needs of the North American greenhouse industry.

The focal point for the week-long mission was participation at “Relatie Dagen” (Relation Days), a three-day horticulture trade show in the town of Gorichem. The show featured 533 exhibitors and hosted 20,000 visitors. Show highlights focused on innovations in energy savings technology and ‘Green” technology developments.
