April 1, 2009, St. Catharines — Specialties Robert Legault hosted its 16th annual Grower Appreciation banquet at the Quality Hotel Parkway Convention Centre in St. Catharines. The evening was co-hosted by Berger Peat Moss and was attended by over 150 growers from across Ontario and Québec.
Two seminars were presented.
 Brian Cantin, a grower specialist with Berger Peat Moss, discussed the importance of “Testing your soil media: benefits and common mistakes.”
Graeme Murphy, greenhouse floriculture IPM specialist with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, spoke on “Soil Related Pests and Diseases.”
Following the seminars, guests enjoyed a banquet with their SRL and Berger hosts.
