 March 25, 2009, Dunnville, Ont. – Rosa Flora Limited, one of Canada’s largest cut flower growers and wholesalers, its celebrating three decades of growth.
The Niagara region company is hosting an open house on Saturday (March 28) from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Featured will be greenhouse tours, flower giveaways, floral demonstrations, door prizes, and “Ask The Expert” opportunities.
Rosa Flora has some 1.2 million square feet of production.

Established in 1978 by Otto and Corine Bulk, Rosa Flora first grew only fresh hybrid tea roses. Over the years, new crops were added, including alstroemeria, snapdragons, standard and mini gerbera, sweetheart roses and stephanotis. The company als o partners with other local growers to provide a large assortment of potted plants and an even wider range of fresh cut flowers, including Asiatic lilies, anthurium, freesia, Oriental lilies and statice, among others. “Our partnerships with reliable local growers allow us to provide a large assortment of potted plants, and an even wider range of cut flowers year round.”
An industry leader in green technologies, Rosa Flora has switched from natural gas boilers to biomass-fuelled systems. It also utilizes a wind turbine to supply some of its electricity needs. Rosa Flora also has a cogen unit.
