 March 3, 2009, Kingsville, Ont. — Former Tanimura and Antle president Ken Silveira has joined Mastronardi Produce/SUNSET® as the president of Mastronardi Produce – West.
The company is also opening a 20,000-square-foot warehouse in Salinas, California, to serve West Coast customers.
“For years, customers have been asking for our Sunset® brand on the West Coast,” said executive vice-president Paul Mastronardi. “Now we can do it with the same quality of service we provide in the East.”
Silveira brings a wealth of industry experience to Mastronardi after spending the last 19 years at Tanimura and Antle, most recently as president and chief operating officer.
To assist Silveira with sales development, Mastronardi has also added 20-year industry veteran Laurie Gray, who most recently worked for Vancouver-based Greenhouse Gourmet.
