POTTED PLANT FOCUS OF ONTARIO COURSE
P otted plants will be the focus of a 10-week night school course for commercial flower growers this fall, sponsored by Flowers Canada Ontario. P otted plants will be the focus of a 10-week night school course for commercial flower growers this fall, sponsored by Flowers Canada Ontario.

It will be held Tuesday evenings from 7–9:30 at Rittenhouse Hall at the Vineland campus (Advisory Building). It starts Sept. 11 and concludes Nov. 20. (No class will be held on Oct. 2, due to the Canadian Greenhouse Conference.) Instructors include Wayne Brown, greenhouse floriculture specialist with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs; Dr. Theo Blom, University of Guelph; Albert Grimm, head grower at Jeffery’s Greenhouses Ltd. in St. Catharines; and other specialty growers. Pre-registration is required by contacting Flowers Canada (Ontario) at 800-698-0113 (ext. 221), or by faxing 519-836-7529. The cost is $150, which includes the GST. Fees can be paid by cheque (payable to Flowers Canada Ontario), or by VISA or MasterCard (receipt will be sent). The minimum number of students is 12, while the maximum is 25.
