| Job Description |
Jeffery’s Greenhouses, a grower and wholesale distributor of flowering potted and bedding plants, is currently looking to fill the position of Production Labour Coordinator at each of our St. Catharines and Jordan Station greenhouse facilities in Ontario.
Job responsibilities include:
· Allocating production labour to various greenhouse production jobs (transplanting, propagation, spacing/layout and order pulling) in accordance with the priorities set by the Head Grower, General Manager and Sales Manager.
· Supervising production teams to ensure that defined jobs are set up properly and executed efficiently
· Training and evaluation of production staff
Qualified Candidates should possess:
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skills to enable multi-tasking
· Demonstrated supervisory experience within a greenhouse/horticultural environment (preferably 3+ years)
· Computer skills in order to use Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel applications (we will train on other specific applications)
